OUR WORK

Enhancing & Protecting Tahoe CA State Parks For Generations

Each year for the past 50 years, we partner with California State Parks to identify needs and projects where our effective mix of private philanthropy, volunteerism, innovative leadership, and strong partnerships will most benefit the parks’ critical needs.

It is a common myth to think our wonderful Tahoe State Parks can operate on state funding alone. Sierra State Parks Foundation partners with the parks to provide approximately $500,000 annually to supplement funding for educational programming and restoration projects, with the mission of keeping parks open for all to enjoy!
