Conversations with History: The Charming Days of Emerald Bay Resort

  • Emerald Bay State Park South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 (map)

Rosie Smith will enchant us with her recollections of her teenage years working at the Emerald Bay Resort, located at what is now the Boat Camp.  Rosie will share the resort's history, her early remembrances of Vikinghsolm as a new State Park acquisition, and what it was like being a teenager at Lake Tahoe in the 1950s.

The evening includes the opportunity to drive to Vikingsholm and enjoy heavy appetizers and fine wine.  Discover the lesser-known time of Tahoe in the 50s with Rosie's personal photos that will be sure to delight and fascinate, within the private courtyard setting of Vikingsholm in beautiful Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, CA. You'll even have the opportunity to explore the interior of the "finest example of Scandinavian architecture in the United States. This fundraiser is in support of the restoration efforts of Vikingsholm Castle.

Tickets for this exclusive Tahoe experience are $75 and include the wonderful opportunity to drive down into Emerald Bay and park near The Castle. Driving details will be sent out prior to the event.

Seating is limited to 30 guests, a reservation is required.
