The 154-site campground is usually open from Memorial Day until mid-September, weather permitting. Each campsite has a table and stove, as well as a parking space. Restrooms with hot showers are nearby. Some of the campsites will accommodate trailers or motor homes up to 24 feet long. There are no hookups available.
Reservations for family campsites can be made up to seven months in advance by calling (800) 444-7275 or by visiting the Cal Parks website here. Reservations are strongly advised from mid-June through Labor Day.
Depending on the weather, campgrounds are open from late May until the middle of September, and are closed during the winter.
Food Storage Locker Information
Metal bear-resistant food lockers are provided in each campsite. All food, beverages, and toiletries are required by law to be stored in provided food lockers. The inside dimensions of the food lockers are 36″ deep, 43″ wide, and 28″ high. Violators will be cited.
Dogs on a 6′ leash are allowed in the campground and picnic areas, as well as on paved roads. Dogs may not be left unattended. Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach or on any trails. Dog regulations are enforced YEAR-ROUND.
